Course Overview

When a crisis strikes, seconds count. Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) equips you with the knowledge and hands-on skills to save lives before EMS arrives. Adapted from the military’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), this course brings battle-tested medical training to the civilian and protective services environment—covering trauma care during violent incidents, vehicle crashes, and other high-risk events.

• Stop the Bleed
• CPR/AED/First Aid (AHA or Red Cross accepted)

What You’ll Learn

Participants will complete realistic, scenario-based drills across all three phases of TECC:

• Direct Threat Care (Hot Zone): Scene safety, movement to cover, rapid bleeding control
• Indirect Threat Care (Warm Zone): MARCH trauma assessment, wound packing, airway and chest seal application
• Evacuation Care (Cold Zone): Patient reassessment, shock management, and EMS handoff

Additional modules include:

• Stress management and situational awareness
• Tactical casualty movement
• Personal trauma kit (IFAK) building activity
